And the award goes to…

Thomas James Homes and Truss were recognized across 8 award categories at the National Sales and Marketing Awards gala.

While Tinsel Town was packed for a lively awards season, here in Newport Beach, we were walking a red carpet of our own at the National Sales and Marketing Awards gala.


It’s the National Association of Homebuilders’ (NAHB) version of the Oscars, and it’s where our client, Thomas James Homes (TJH), and the Truss Creative team swept 8 awards, including 2 golds and 6 silvers. 

For forty years, the annual event, known as The Nationals, has been one of the building industry’s most prestigious awards competitions. It celebrates the best work in residential real estate sales, home building, marketing, and design by industry professionals, home builders, and their marketing partners (like us!). 

At this year’s awards, TJH earned Gold for Best Realtor/Broker Program. Titled The Power of Multiplicity, the program showcases the various ways realtors can increase their earning potential with TJH through commission, referrals, and land acquisition sales. Creating awareness and building long-term success with the realtor audience required a program, strategy, and creative campaign that would stand out from the rest. Cue The Power of Multiplicity campaign which included a variety of marketing tactics, including direct mail, social media, experiential, email and content marketing. 

The second gold award was Best Overall Advertising Campaign for Build on Your Homesite—an end-to-end home solution in which homeowners can select a TJH home plan to customize and build on their existing homesite. To capture attention and ensure our message hit home with the TJH audience, the campaign focused on personalization, timeliness, and creativity through a mix of beautiful direct mail pieces (that’s right!) and digital creative. The campaign culminated with an invitation to a live online event where prospective clients enjoyed a virtual “fireside” chat over charcuterie and wine with members of the TJH team and past TJH clients.

In addition to winning 2 gold awards, TJH and the Truss Creative team also took home 6 silver awards, including:

The Nationals were the culmination of a successful awards season for TJH, where they won across major categories at the SoCal MAME (Major Achievement in Marketing Excellence) Awards, particularly for Best Logo for Trademark by TJH, and Best Website, Builder for Thomas James Homes. Our creative work also led to nine finalist mentions for TJH including:
