Echo56 was a community of 24 contemporary detached homes located just steps from one of Newport Beach’s most storied surf breaks. The residences featured indoor–outdoor living, open-plan layouts, upscale finishes, and a striking use of steel and glass designed to maximize views. Beyond the architecture, the true draw was the promise of an authentic beach lifestyle. With homes priced from $2–3+ million, we were tasked with creating a brand that would resonate with surf-loving baby boomers and executives whose suit-and-tie days were behind them.

Our solution
The adventurous, wellness-oriented buyers we sought to attract were unmoved by pretentious luxury or builder-grade blandness. Instead, our brand strategy centered on the idea of “true beach.” Gritty, authentic, and infused with retro nostalgia, the Echo56 visual identity came to life through a bold logo, dayglow colors, and custom patterns and illustrations used across digital and print touchpoints.















Pattern play
Sales support materials extended the brand into the physical world. Site signage, a distinctive polka-dot brochure concept, circular direct mail postcards, collage-inspired email templates, and beach lifestyle–driven print ads worked together to reinforce the true beach narrative at every point of contact.
