A new opportunity for
a market leader
European Body Art (EBA), the market leader in performance makeup for the entertainment and special effects industries, wanted to diversify through the introduction of its first consumer product: VOLT, a brush-on liquid color that temporarily covers the gray in men’s beards. We were retained to design and execute the new product launch.
Seeing beyond the product
Our research and strategy work redefined the opportunity before EBA—to not only introduce a new product, but to create a comprehensive brand platform for a new performance-driven men’s grooming line.
Informed by extensive persona work, we created an invigorating brand positioning for VOLT to set it apart from its category competitors: products that never quit, confidence that never fades. The new VOLT Lifeproof Grooming would exist to empower men on a mission to look good, feel better and face anything.
High voltage visuals
We created a bold, modern, adventure sports-inspired visual identity for VOLT and applied it across all touchpoints including a custom ecommerce website, original video and photography.
